Low Fat Crock Pot Recipes

One of the best low fat crock pot recipes that I have is where I use chicken. Chicken in general has less fat than other cuts of meat and is fairly inexpensive. I think more people should eat more vegetables, meat consisting of turkey or chicken and get plenty of regular exercise.

Another low fat crock pot recipe is to just use all vegetables. Sometimes I have a veggie crock pot meal of about 12 or 16 vegetables seasoned with sale and pepper and sometimes I even put in a can of mushroom soup. Goodness I get hungry just writing this. : )

Anyway back to the chicken, here is one of the best low fat crock pot recipes that you will love. At least I hope you love it anyway. Go ahead, try it, and don't be afraid to experiment. That is the most fun part of cooking, make that the second most fun part. I love tasting, that is the most fun for me anyway.

Now get an entire chiken, salt and pepper it to taste and use a half stick of butter or low fat butter.
Be sure and wash chicken and remove anything from inside it. Rub the butter or low fat butter all over the chicken and then sprinkle the salt and pepper on it evenly. Don't forget to get some sale and pepper on the inside of the chicken too!

You may even want to sprinkle some lemon and other herbs on the ckicken. Put the chicken in the cooker and let it cook all day on low. Also don't forget to add some water before you start cooking. Just let it cook a good 6 or so hours on low. It will be delish!
