When you cook something say a roast. It is so delicious and full of juice and each and every bite practically melts in your mouth. It is the same way with the very delicious chicken. I can remember my mom cooking chicken in a pretty big pot she had when I was kid. She would put all kinds of great vegetables in it and them put the chicken on for several hours. The aroma would fill the whole house.

I can remember waiting for hours to eat that chicken that she was cooking. Each and every bite was pure delight and so very enjoyable that you can't imagine how great I always though that chicken was. I was grown when I learned how to make it and I remember the first time I made it. It was good but it was not as good as moms. It seems that this is always the case. Nothing it seems is as good as what mom makes.

I just wonder if our mothers in general are really as great of cooks as we have always thought them to be? Or it was just the fact that we were so hungry just about anything seemed good to us at the time. I think it really may be a little of each. And in fact some moms are probably better at cooking than others. I just bet you some people don't like their moms cooking.

Like everything else in life, some people are better at certain things than other people. That is why it is so very important to always keep the old recipes handy that way you can follow them exact and make the recipes that you remember when you were just a young kid. I guess on the other hand there may really be lots of moms that are great cooks as a matter of fact. I remember my mom was a good cook, she never really liked to cook. I always thought that it was so funny she did not like cooking because I thought she was very good at it.

Today there are a lot of people who don’t like to cook and I think they miss out on a lot when they don’t make their own food sometimes. There are people who can’t even boil water and that is really crazy it seems. The best thing with cooking in a crock pot is the fact that it really is hard to mess things up. You really have to be an air head not to be able to cook things in a crock pot. Basically if your trying to cook meat all you have to do is just season it with salt and pepper or your other favorite seasoning. Then some salt and or pepper on the vegetable and your pretty much done.

 

 

 

That is a basic, crock pot recipe and it will turn out to be great in several hours. I really love to cook roast this way. I go and purchase about a 6 lb roast and then cook it for 6 to 8 hours, on high. It will be so tasty at the end of the 8 hours you won’t believe that you cooked it if you don’t think your really that good at cooking.
